Monsanto’s Madhouse of Poisons

Monsanto’s Origins

Ever since its beginning in 1901, Monsanto has kept a tight grip on the food market in America. Its web, at some points, reaches beyond U.S. borders – with links to Nazi Germany and the extermination of the Jews and its marketing of saccharine, an artificial sweetener with a reputation built upon lies regarding health. We know Monsanto continues tightening its grip on the American population today – supporting the creation and distribution of genetically modified foods from tainted fields right to our dining room tables.

Even with the public’s growing concern over what we plop on our plates, Monsanto continues to weasel its way into serving destructive foods. Now, even some foods carrying labels proclaiming ‘Non-GMO’ can prove incredulous and worthy of questioning, as the company worms itself into even the purest of nutritionally beneficial and safe harvests. What other covert secrets does this master corporation hoard behind closed doors? What will they tamper with next? And where do we as American citizens come in? We outline the answers and share ideas in an easily digestible format – unlike the foods of Monsanto.

 Starting From Scratch with Saccharin

Over 100 years ago, John Francis Queeny, a long-standing pharmacist, married Olga Mendez Monsanto in St. Louis, Missouri. The couple became the birth parents of Monsanto Chemical Works – a company named after Queeny’s wife. By financing the start-up of the business with his own money and a little help from a distributor of soft drinks, Queeny sold the company’s very first product – saccharin – to the manufacturers at Coca Cola as a sweetener to replace sugar. Saccharin proved to be highly efficient – 3 times sweeter per measurement than sugar. It also proved a deadlier chemical counterpart.

Even then, the United States government seemed aware of the harmful reality that saccharin allowed to unfold within the bodies of the general public. It sued Monsanto on two different occasions to have the chemical removed from the market, losing both cases. It is easy to see why the government wanted saccharin out of the hands of citizens. Saccharin has no caloric value, yet triggers the production of insulin in the pancreas. Insulin functions to move sugar into the circulatory system for use as energy. This, in turn, causes the body to become immune to insulin, which can lead to diabetes.

Some people may have an allergy to saccharin as well. The symptoms of a reaction to saccharin include headache, breathing problems, rashes, and diarrhea. It also counterintuitively contributes to weight gain, even though it has no caloric value. Because of the super-sweet taste that comes as a signature to saccharin, the body braces for a high calorie intake. When these calories never show up, the body stops responding to this signal. This causes the storage of fat, and later weight gain. Some studies suggest that the chemical compound may have a carcinogenic effect on the body, as experiments on rats and mice revealed saccharin to be a cancer-causing compound for the rodents.

This marked the beginning of a long string of deadly poisons that Monsanto Chemical Works introduced, not only to our own nation, but to the world as a whole. Substances with a far-reaching and insidious effect were produced and fed to the public – heralded by little scientific research or concern of what these substances could do to the population of people consuming them.

The Push of PCBs

During the 1920s, Monsanto Chemical Works introduced the environmental danger of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Later becoming a target of the EPA, PCBs were often utilized as ingredients in coolants, hydraulic fluids, cutting oils, coatings, sealants, and lubricants. PCBs have far-reaching, dangerous effects on the health of humans and the environment.

Yet another potential carcinogen introduced by Monsanto, the creation and usage of PCBs stopped in 1977 because of the obvious impact they had globally. However, this was not before the compounds made their presence known by way of affecting environmental health.

PCBs cause symptoms in humans, including stomach problems, skin irritation, damage to the liver and kidney, and endocrine disruption by way of causing injury to the thyroid gland. St. Louis, Illinois actually acquired a reputation for having the highest rate of fetal death and premature birth in the state because of the PCBs manufactured by Monsanto Chemical Works.

As far as our environment goes, PCBs have collected as sediments in lakes, rivers, and oceans – which will continue to surface and release into the air. This compound also never breaks down or burns away, meaning that it will remain for thousands of years. You can find it in fish and shellfish, and potentially in meat, milk, and other animal products. This is because PCBs have also infested our soil.

But the house of horrors does not stop there. It expands as aggressively as a highly virulent disease for which the world is unprepared to battle. From saccharin to aspirin, Monsanto Chemical Works continued to produce toxins and poisons that affected the health and well-being of the planet and those who inhabit it. The far-reaching fingers of Monsanto continued their stranglehold of human health in Europe and America during World War II and the Vietnamese War.

Frightening Connections

The deeper you delve into the dark history of Monsanto, the more warped and disturbing the whole picture gets. The company’s main focus remained on the creation and distribution of plastics and chemicals before it became a dangerous powerhouse in the food industry, with equally devastating results. With the onslaught of World War II claiming a main focus in the news reels, Monsanto got its hands a little dirtier than ever before with its other harmful, unhealthy chemicals that added to a growing list of life-limiters.

Monsanto, however, began to drop its limitations by the 1930s, expanding deeper into household products including soaps, detergents, and cleaning products. Many of these items proved poisonous when the human body was exposed to them; however, given the powerful sway Monsanto already had over the government and regulations, it could not matter less.

Monsanto Chemical Works eventually got its hands into the Manhattan Project, an American attempt at creating the first nuclear bomb – which later proved successful. Considering the company’s ability to delve into research regarding uranium for bomb recipes set to kill millions, one could safely conclude that Monsanto’s sugary appearance as an all-American company is just as artificial as saccharin itself.

Things get worse when the historical facts place Monsanto as a helping hand in a crime against humanity. During the Vietnam War, Monsanto formulated Agent Orange as an herbicide or a defoliant. One goal of the spray was to disrupt the growth of the trees by causing them to shed their leaves, making it easier for U.S. troops to find enemy snipers. Its other goal included killing the enemy. It worked effectively… too effectively. It also worked on the U.S. troops themselves.

The damages of Agent Orange continue generations later. The initial onslaught of the chemical included cancer, liver damage, heart disease, reproductive disruption, and dysfunction of the skin and nervous system. Later, the children and grandchildren would experience the following symptoms as a result of Agent Orange – physical deformities, physical and mental disabilities, insufficient immune systems, and shorter lives. To this day, the United States government and Monsanto still accept no responsibility.

During this same period of time, Monsanto Chemical Works and I.G. Farben partnered their business because of mutual interests. I.G. Farben, the manufacturers of Bayer aspirin, probably got along disturbingly well with Monsanto. I.G. Farben, once the Nazi Regime’s favorite chemical producer, manufactured the deadly chemical Zyklon B – the most preferable weapon of murder for the Third Reich’s annihilation of the Jews – especially in death camps like Auschwitz.

The madhouse of Monsanto develops further, with new formulations that have an equally disturbing effect on the general public. The death train does not stop with I.G. Farben, and the poisonous partnership lead to the introduction of one of the worst possible chemicals ever to make its way into food stuffs.

From Auschwitz to Aspartame

Monsanto’s partnership with I.G. Farben lead to the creation, manufacturing, and distribution of aspartame. First of all, why would anyone trust a substance created by Nazi chemists and atomic bomb creators, even if it is marketed under a cute name like Sweet ‘N’ Low or Equal? You would not ingest such a thing – unless it is spoon-fed to you  in innocence as artificial as its sweetness.

An accidental discovery, aspartame came about in 1965 when James Schlatter, a chemist  from the G.D. Searle Company was searching for a cure to ulcers. Monsanto had also partnered with G.D. Searle, and by the 1970s, the companies showed falsified scientific evidence claiming that aspartame was perfectly safe for human consumption. With the help of I.G. Farben, Searle and Monsanto successfully and officially introduced aspartame as an artificial sweetener to replace saccharin – which was beginning to arouse suspicions.

The FDA had evidence to counter that which was provided by this trifecta of genocide, with rats developing tumors and holes in their brains as experiments were carried out. However, the 1980s bowed in favor of the aspartame push with Reagan firing FDA commissioner Jere Goyan, and replacing him with Arthur Hayes Hull. This lead to a change in power that favored Searle, Farben, and Monsanto.

Aspartame has insidious effects on the body of all humans. Insidious does not even cover it – horrendous more accurately describes it. A list as tall as an oak tree provides enough proof of what harm this chemical does to the body. You have two different lists to go by: one of symptoms and one of long-term effects. Symptoms include: weight gain, depression, fatigue, vision and hearing loss, slurred speech, loss of taste, memory loss, problems with breathing and heart function, irritability, insomnia, anxiety, vertigo, muscle spasms, seizures, nausea, numbness, rashes, fatigue, and joint pain. Long-term effects include: Alzheimer’s, diabetes, brain tumors, epilepsy, mental disability, Parkinson’s disease, and fibromyalgia.

This accounts for just the tip of the ice burg as there are at least 90 different possible symptoms and outcomes resulting from exposure and ingestion of aspartame. Statistics show that over 75 percent of negative responses to additives in foods that are reported to the FDA are because of aspartame. We want you to know that it is a known neurotoxin made up of the following: aspartic acid, phenylalanine, methanol or wood alcohol, and diketopiperazine.

You would think that with all the facts and research backing claims that Monsanto is no good to the civilian population, that more individuals would begin to boycott this monstrosity. You would hope that we could at least trust our government to protect us from the consistently suspicious actions of this evil corporation of mad scientists with false evidence. However, such is not the case.

Millions Still Munch on Monsanto

If this information disturbed you, then we are glad. Many people dismiss the anti-Monsanto argument as conspiracy theory or unrealistic. But either way, their history is completely real. Why would anyone want to trust their family to food created by a company sued twice for carelessly selling sickening saccharin, pushing pollutive PCBs into our environment, anchoring bad health with the affliction of aspartame, and partnering up with the Nazis‘ go-to company?

Any person in his or her right mind would run screaming from the doors of Monsanto’s madhouse. So why do we continue to accept their foodstuffs? Monsanto’s more recent contribution to the world – GMOs – are now banned in Europe for their potential of adverse health affects. The problem is that we, the American people, willingly consume genetically modified organisms like silent lambs being lead to the slaughter.

Worse? Well, most companies using Monsanto’s nasty batch of befouled bites do not let the label tell you the truth about your food. And as the consumption of GMOs rises, so do the health problems of the general public, as well as those who cultivate or even live next to fields of fetid farms. Even worse – the long-term effects and symptoms of consumption are unknown for the human population. We can only rely on studies done on lab rats or fake information fed to us by Monsanto itself.

Finding Health in Organic Foods

With the growing controversy and flow of information regarding the Monsanto’s food monopoly, many individuals are demanding to know what goes into their food and whether or not it contains GMOs. This, along with other factors, could one day lead to the citizens taking back their farms and foods. If you want to take some steps toward helping this happen a little faster, here are a few ways that you can start.

Stay in the know. Read the labels to all of your foods and products, and do your best to find items labeled ‘Non-GMO‘ and ‘organic.‘ This will not only help ensure your own health and protection from poisonous pesticides and genetically modified foods, but take business away from companies like Monsanto. In fact, completely boycott Monsanto products if at all possible.

Familiarize yourself with which companies do and do not use chemicals so you can have knowledge behind your decision making. Research any ingredients that you do not recognize so that you can be aware of what they may do to your body. This way, you can get a more well-rounded idea of what is happening to your food. Knowledge is the best source of power you can have over companies like these. The second best source is not purchasing from them. The third best is spreading the word to others – even to deafened ears.
